# Wait...What? We Redesigned Our Website!

Happy Friday!
At face value, many people see me behind the counter at Sea Foam Soap Company/blue eden or Oliver & Twist, helping customers, ringing up purchases, and making sure everyone leaves with something they love. What most people don’t see is that everything in our store is handmade by me or by one of the staff members working that day.
As entrepreneurs, we wear a lot of hats. One day I’m a sales associate. The next, I’m a business owner, caretaker, soap maker, order fulfiller, website designer, photographer, customer service representative, inventory manager, and occasional professional problem-solver.
And yes—sometimes I’m all of those things before lunch.
But the truth is, underneath all those hats, I’m still that little girl experimenting in the kitchen with my dad, learning how to make soap using different oils and essential oils. I’m still curious, still learning, and still trying to make something beautiful, useful, and comforting from simple ingredients.
I come from a family where hard work wasn’t just encouraged—it was expected. We learned early to hustle, show up, pay attention to details, and do things as close to perfect as possible. We also learned the importance of making people feel good, welcome, happy, and comfortable.
None of this is new to me.
What is new is learning how to transition, pivot, and grow through all the challenges that come with running a small business. The business world changes constantly, and we’ve had to change with it while still staying true to who we are.
One of my goals this year was to completely redesign our website. I wanted it to be easier to use, more inviting, and a better reflection of the experience we hope to create in the stores. Eventually, more and more shopping will happen online, and I want Sea Foam Soap Company by Blue Eden to feel just as personal and positive there as it does when you walk through the doors.
Our newly redesigned website, seafoamsoapcompany.com, officially launched this week!
Is it perfect? Not quite. There are still things I want to adjust, improve, and tweak. Now comes the fun part: fine-tuning the front end, working on the back end, and learning about things like search engine optimization—words I didn’t fully understand until recently, but am now determined to figure out.
Apparently, websites need the same kind of care as handmade soap: attention, patience, good ingredients, and a little time to cure. The basic structure is in place, and I’m so excited to finally share it with you. If you have a moment, please take a look around the site and let me know what you think. I’d love to hear what feels easy, what could be improved, and what you’d like to see more of.
Behind every product is a person, a story, a lot of hard work, and probably a few dishes waiting to be washed. Thank you for supporting my small business, cheering us on, shopping handmade, and giving us the opportunity to keep creating.
Visit us at seafoamsoapcompany.com and let me know what you think!
